Feeling disconnected from your body?
Body-oriented therapies can ease you back into connection
Our body and breath are the most accessible resource available for wellbeing
Somatic Therapy
Body-oriented psychotherapy offers a bottom-up approach to processing trauma, releasing tension, and moving through emotions. Explore how bodily sensations can shift emotional states and change our perception of pain. When paired with storytelling or psychodrama, it becomes a way to step back into the body.
When we embody a character and tune in to the felt-sense experience of the body, we get a moment that the feeling becomes accessible; perhaps sparking a glimmer of hope or learning it is possible to feel again. In the sample video, we see how pairing music with movements can e a way of embodying the firey energy needed to spark passion moving into the year of the Fire Horse (2026).
Integrative somatic parts work tunes into the body experience using awareness, breath, resonance, movement, and touch. It offers a path to the embodied self. Body sensations offer moments to tune in to feeling and shift out of thinking. To feel our feelings, we have to reconnect to our bodies.
