Feel too self-aware for therapy?
Let healing emerge from creative expression
With expressive arts, we can tune-in to felt-sense experiences of creation. Explore nonverbal expression, finding attunement and synchrony through the movements of bilateral art making.
Expressive Arts Therapy
Expressive arts therapy incorporates all forms of creative expression- from traditional visual arts to movements, sounds, drama enactments, metaphor, creative storytelling, and more. Sessions can be non-verbal and sensory focused without the need for retelling of the story. The focus is on integration and restoration through self-expression.
The sample video shows how music can become a co-regulator when paired with bilateral art making. The rhythm guides the movement that makes the marks and grounds through mindful presence.
Expressive arts therapy interventions are inspired by each individual. They are sparked by curiosity that allows expression to meet you where you are.
