Holistic healing requires an integrative approach to explore all aspects of the Self: mind, body, and spirit. Each therapeutic journey is uniquely blended based on the individual.
Expressive Arts Therapy

Expressive Arts
Learn the language of creative expression
When we lean into curiosity, we move away from fear
Expressive arts therapy uses the MSSS Model to guide individuals through finding the expressive language.
Movement
Sound
Storytelling
Silence
Expressive arts integrates with other therapy modalities such as nature-based therapy, parts work, polyvagal theory, EMDR, DBT, etc. Creative expression can be used for psychoeducation or skill building and positive resourcing. Instead of completing worksheets, concepts are taught through experiential learning.
Creates here-and-now felt sense experiences for increasing body awareness and somatic release
When words are not enough... or when words are too much, the creative process facilitates emotional expression. Sessions can focus on non-verbal expression without the need for words.
Geek Therapy
Geek Inspired Interventions
Bridge special interests with therapeutic goals
Character creation offers rich opportunities to explore all parts of ourselves. Therapeutic meaning can be pulled from seeing the parts of ourselves that we exclude (shadow work) and the parts we long to embody (personal growth).
A Zelda inspired expressive arts therapy guided journal that operates similarly to a solo TTRPG (tabletop roleplaying game)
Coping Strategy guide with roll assists for task overwhelm. Offering a LOTR bridge to expressive language, communication, and coping.
Explore creative mode as a digital art medium creating virtual sculptures.
Explore survival mode for creating here-and-now experiences of emotion, connecting with body sensations.
Disney, Dune, Superheroes, Zelda, etc. offer rich symbolic material, nostalgia, music, sound, and art inspiration for therapeutic exploration. Ask how we can include your special interest into therapy.
Somatic Therapy

Body-Based Approaches
When the body becomes home, the brain has a place to rest
For some, yes. It can feel vulnerable to be witnessed freely exploring movement. However, it also provides a here-and-now experience to assist with working through a fear of being perceived or need for perfectionism.
Movements are first introduced through demonstration with permission to simply observe. When you're ready to explore movements, we mirror the movements and fully engage with you every step of the way.
Somatic work can be soft, focusing on breath, gentle movements, and guided body awareness.
It may also be more physically focused integrating the use of movement, breath, and sound (yoga, tai chi, dance, organic flow) to enhance somatic release and sense of flow.
Somatic therapy focuses on the body sensations that emerge. Rather than getting stuck in the story of the pain or distress, the focus shifts to identifying body sensations, nervous system responses, and finding regulation through intentional body-based practices.
When we're disconnected from our bodies, we're more prone to dissociation and detached experiences. This pulls us out of rhythm with ourselves, creating a disconnect between the mind and body.
For those that struggle to recognize internal body cues like hunger, thirst, hot, cold, bathroom cues, etc., somatic therapy can help build interoceptive awareness. Interoception is the sensory system that cues us in to internal body needs. It is known that neurodivergent individuals often have difficulty noticing body cues.
By improving body-awareness, we can better recognize bodily needs and learn how to tune in when feeling disconnected.
Nature-Based Therapy

Benefits of Nature-Based Therapy
You're never too old to play in the dirt.
Nature-based therapy is proven to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Nature can serve as a co-regulator and offer a calm, grounding, restorative environment.
Being in nature is proven to reduce cortisol levels and increase dopamine and serotonin. Cortisol is often referred to as the "stress hormone".
There are many mindful ways that we can engage with the natural world. For some, a reconnection to nature can enhance feelings of connection to something greater than the self and enhance spiritual connections.
Nature offers a path to increased self-awareness and personal growth through metaphor and felt-sense experiences that emerge as we move into connection with the natural elements.

By promoting deep relaxation, it allows your mind and body to release stress and tension, leading to improved sleep quality.
For those suffering from anxiety or depression, the soothing sounds and vibrations can help regulate mood and promote emotional well-being.
