Countryside Acres
Traditional Lands of the Sapponi Tribe
Ringgold, VA
The home of Elemental Expressive Arts was built on the Newton Family farm. My paternal great aunt and uncle were the only owners/ occupants prior to our purchase. My paternal grandfather drew the blueprints for both homes at Countryside Acres. You’ll see the similarities to the home he built next-door, Dakota Acres. Dakota Acres is the reflection of a legacy born out of generations of love.
We would like to acknowledge that Elemental Expressive Arts is located on the traditional and ancestral territory of the Saponi tribe of the Piedmont Region. We thank them for their hospitality and stewardship of this land.
As the new property owner and a descendent of the Saponi tribe, I am excited to announce the transition of the property to Elemental Expressive Arts. I hope to gift music, expression, creativity, and vitality back to the land and to all who enter my new magic fairy forest. Escape into the magic of the country. See the stars, experience the magic of fireflies, & darkness of night. Catch a breath as you watch horses in the back yard with your morning coffee. Center yourself surrounded by the sounds of nature.
*Easter Egg* On your next visit, be sure to check out The Family Genealogy book in our library to see my paternal lineage. The historical connections for my maternal lineage remain in the works.
